1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar of Modena
Instructions
- First measure out the balsamic vinegar amount using a measuring cup. Then pour into your skillet or saucepan and using medium heat bring to a gentle simmer.
- Once the vinegar starts to simmer, reduce the heat to minimum and let the vinegar reduce to about half the amount. In this recipe it took 9 minutes to reduce the liquid to half the amount. Note that this time can vary depending on the type of heating element and/or saucepan/skillet you are using.
- Once the liquid has reduced, remove from the heat and let it cool down. You may want to transfer to a small glass container to let it cool down. You will notice that once the vinegar cools down it thickens even more!
