- 170 grams Fresh Mozzarella
- 175 grams Large Tomato
- 5-6 Fresh Basil Leaves
- 2 teaspoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/8 teaspoon Fine Ground Sea Salt
- 1/8 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Instructions
- First using a cutting board and a paring knife, slice the tomato in thick slices (approximately 1/4 inch thick).
- Then slice the mozzarella ball into thick slices (approximately 1/2 inch thick) too.
- Next using either the cutting board or a serving plate, layer the tomato and cheese slices alternating between the two.
- Now insert a piece of basil for every pair of cheese and tomato slice.
- Drizzle with the extra virgin olive oil.
- Finally season with the sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
