Walnut stuffed figs were a staple snack in our house in the fall and winter season. So easy to make and a delicious sweet snack!

Tools You Will Need for this Recipe

You will need the following to make this easy snack recipe:

-A nut cracker,

-A paring knife, and

-a small cutting board.

This easy snack only requires 2 ingredients: dried figs and walnuts. In this recipe we used dried Smyrna figs, but you can use whatever dried figs are available to you.

  • 2 Dried Smyrna Figs
  • 1 Walnut in Shell

 

Instructions

  1. The first step is to cut off the stem of the fig using a paring knife and cutting board.
  1. Next slice the fig in half in the middle of the fig, but still leaving it attached on the one side.
  1. Using the nutcracker, crack the walnut and remove half of the walnut.
  1. Place the walnut half on half of the fig.
  1. Close the fig, eat and enjoy!
