Ingredients
1 Large Garlic Head
1/2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/8 teaspoon Sea Salt
Instructions
- The first step is to preheat the oven to 385 Degrees Fahrenheit.
- Then gather all of the ingredients and tools you will need to make this recipe.
- Now wash the head of garlic.
- Next, using the cutting board, cut off part of the top of the head of garlic so that the garlic cloves are exposed at the top.
- Then cut a piece of aluminum foil approximately 12 inches by 12 inches and place the head of garlic in the foil.
- Now drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Next close up the aluminum foil by pinching the four corners together. You should end up with a small package of garlic.
- Once you have prepared the package, place it on the baking tray. The reason for putting on a baking tray is in case any oil leaks out and this will help to prevent a mess in the oven!
- After the oven has preheated, place the baking tray on the middle rack. It should take approximately 45 minutes to roast. However, you may want to check at about 35-40 minutes to see how it is progressing.
- When it is done, it should have a golden colour and (once it cools down) you should be able to squeeze the garlic head and the cloves should easily come out. Then you should be able to easily mash the garlic cloves in a small bowl.
