- 250 grams Raw Ground Sausage Meat
- 6 Large Eggs
- 30 grams Green Onion
- 80 grams Roasted Red Pepper ((can purchase pre-made in a jar in water no vinegar))
- 80 grams Oven Roasted Tomatoes ((can sub with raw tomatoes or sun-dried)w)
- 60 grams Provolone Cheese
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Mint
- 1/8 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Fine Ground Black Pepper
Instructions
- Preparing The Crust
The first step is to set the oven to 350 degrees to preheat.
While the oven is preheating, grease the pie dish with butter or olive oil.
Next measure out 250 g of raw ground sausage meat and press it on the bottom of the pie dish until it is covered with the meat.
Place in the middle rack of the preheated oven to bake for 10 minutes.
- Preparing the Contents
Now you will need to prepare the other ingredients that go into the casserole.
Using a cutting board, chop the roasted red peppers in small pieces (about 1 cm). Chop the green onions into small pieces (about 1 cm) as well and cut up the provolone slices into small squares (about 1 cm).
Measure out the oven roasted tomatoes. These you can include without chopping if they are the small tomatoes.
Finally, chop the fresh mint finely.
- Remove the Sausage Crust from the Oven

Crack 6 large eggs in a medium-sized bowl and add in the sea salt and black pepper.

Whisk together the eggs and seasonings.
- Combine the Egg Mixture and the Contents
Combine the egg mixture and the contents in the medium-sized bowl.
- Add The Mixture to the Pie Dish
Pour the combined egg mixture over the sausage crust in the pie dish.
Place in the 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to cook.
- After 45 minutes, remove from oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
