So What is a Moka Pot?

The Moka Pot was invented in the 1930s. A Moka pot is a stove top coffee maker that brews coffee by passing boiling water by pressure through ground coffee. It has three main components: the bottom is called the boiler and this is where you put the water. Next is the funnel where you put the ground coffee. The top part is called the coffee collector and this is where the brewed coffee ends up.

The Moka pot comes in different sizes. They range from a 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 cups. Depending on what they are made from, they can be used on gas stove, electric stove or induction. They also come in an electric option as well.
