What You Need for This Roasted Garlic Spread Recipe

Ingredients to make roasted garlic spread including one roasted garlic head, 4 pieces of bread, fresh italian parsley, extra virgin olive oil, parmigiano reggiano, black pepper

Ingredients:

1 Head of Roasted Garlic

4 pieces of bread (3 inches by 1.5 inches wide)

1 Teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1/2 Tablespoon Italian Parsley Leaves 2 grams

1 Teaspoon Parmigiano Reggiano

1/8 Teaspoon Black Pepper

Pinch of sea salt (Optional If you prefer more salt)

How To Make Roasted Garlic Spread

Please note this recipe assumes that you already have a head of roasted garlic on hand. If you do not, please see the recipe on How To Roast Garlic.

Start by preheating oven to 385 degrees. Once it is at temperature add in 4 pieces of your favorite bread. This recipe uses 4 pieces (3 inches by 1.5 inches wide).

While the bread is toasting, let’s make the spread.

Get a small bowl and squeeze the head of garlic into the bowl.

Next grate 1 teaspoon of Parmigiano Reggiano and add to the bowl.

Then measure out 1/2 tablespoon of Italian parsley leaves and then chop and add to the bowl.

Next add 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.

Finally, add 1/8 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper.

Mix the spread to combine all the ingredients. Taste it and if you feel like it needs some salt, add a pinch.

Divide the spread into 4 portions.

Once the bread has toasted and cooled down a bit, using the spoon spread the roasted garlic mixture on each piece of bread.
